Senior PDGS Fullstack Developer

Creotech Instruments S.A. builds cutting-edge software solutions for the Space & Earth Observation (EO) industry, developing advanced systems that process, catalog, and deliver satellite imagery and scientific payload data to commercial partners, research institutions, and international space agencies.

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with microservices architecture and frontend development
• Expert in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in web apps development (Angular, React or similar)
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and object storage like AWS S3, MinIO
• Experienced with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a full remote team environment
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including clean code, unit testing, git workflows, CI/CD automation
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with satellite data processing projects related to ESA and knowledge of PDGS terminology and standards
• Familiarity with EO standards and formats: STAC specification, GeoTIFF, COG, GeoJSON
• Experience with geospatial tools: PySTAC, GDAL, Rasterio, Shapely, NumPy
• Experience with workflow engines like Apache Airflow, Prefect, Argo Workflows
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Knowledge of web mapping libraries (CesiumJS, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Mapbox GL)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress)

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for satellite payload data ordering, reception, processing, archiving, and distribution
• Contribute to system development across the full lifecycle
• Design and prototype automated workflows for processing raw payload data into standardized EO products (GeoTIFF, COG)
• Design APIs and service communication using REST and Message Queues
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
• Manage software engineering fundamentals including documentation, version control, and team collaboration
• Identify and resolve bugs and issues
• Deploy and monitor developed systems
