Software Engineer (Enterprise Experience, Backend)

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience writing and shipping Go.
• Working knowledge of Go concurrency model, including goroutines, channels, and the sync package.
• Comfortable with SQL, schema changes, and writing migrations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid debugging skills with persistence and escalation when stuck.
• Self-motivated and analytical engineer facing difficult technical challenges.

Nice to have:

• Experience investigating performance under real-world load, including debugging race conditions.
• Experience with observability, audit, or security features in enterprise products.
• Experience with major cloud providers, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience building or operating distributed systems at scale.
• Curiosity about the latest developer tooling.

• Build features end to end, from design through production rollout.
• Write database migrations following schema compatibility and safe upgrade patterns.
• Build observability, reporting, and audit features for administrators.
• Implement security features for enterprise deployments adhering to team practices.
• Investigate and resolve scalability bottlenecks under production-like load.
• Resolve backend issues raised by Coder operators and administrators.
• Document built features for reviewers and future engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, RFC-style design discussions, and join on-call rotation.
