Senior Software Engineer

Cisco IT is a transformation engine focused on Cloud first and AI powered technology. The Licensing – On-Prem group drives recurring revenue and subscription enablement, working on a robust platform for Smart Licensing with technologies such as Java, Python, and GO.

• 7-8 years of experience in full software development lifecycle using Java for enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in multithreaded application development and strong Object-Oriented Design and Programming skills.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and various design and architectural patterns.
• Understanding of client/server applications and RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git) and build tools (Jenkins).
• Knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Analyze software requirements and develop technical designs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure software development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for software integration.
• Work with Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to troubleshoot customer software issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
