Risk Analyst, Officer, State Street Investment Management

State Street Investment Management is one of the largest asset managers globally with over $6 trillion of Assets Under Management (AUM). The Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team comprises over 70 risk professionals located across the US, EMEA, and APAC, responsible for operational, investment, liquidity, credit, and model risk.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, business-related field, or equivalent experience; CFA or FRM certification is ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Prior experience with buy-side risk systems such as MSCI BarraOne, Bloomberg PORT, GX truView, FactSet.
• Experience with SQL databases and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• 2 to 4 years of financial services experience; buy-side experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and instruments, especially mutual funds and ETFs.
• Knowledge of market and liquidity risk analysis including stress testing processes.
• Strong analytical, social, and communication skills with ability to work independently.

• Perform risk monitoring and analyze risk exceedances, collaborating with Business and Portfolio Managers to identify root causes and address associated risks.
• Collaborate with various teams to execute, expand, and improve SSIM’s overall risk management framework.
• Conduct independent research on risk management.
• Participate in global ERM projects to enhance the framework and data environment.
• Serve as a key contact for risk queries, providing expertise and cross-risk discipline insights.
• Monitor financial regulatory developments, new products, and services, assessing and reporting their impact on the business's risk profile.
