Software Developer Java/ Node.JS (Web Development Team)

JetBrains creates professional developer tools and maintains web services and websites that connect users worldwide, support product distribution, learning, and feedback processes.

• 3 to 5 years experience in backend web development using Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Solid understanding of modern backend frameworks such as Ktor and Spring.
• Experience designing and building production-grade systems.
• Understanding of distributed-system fundamentals including networking, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Experience working with cloud environments like AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Willingness to take ownership of production systems including support and continuous improvement.
• Good communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice to have:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with observability tools such as metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Practical experience using AI tools or agents in development workflows.

• Design and develop internal company-wide web applications and services.
• Participate in the creation of solution architecture, selecting approaches, decomposing services, and defining interactions.
• Build and maintain services running in AWS and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Develop tools and platforms for localization workflows and integrate them with third-party systems.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of systems.
• Collaborate with other teams to evolve shared infrastructure and internal platforms.
