Software Engineer 2 (Java / Kotlin) - Basket Building

Allegro is a company with over 1,700 tech experts working on the Basket Building domain. This team designs and develops innovative solutions that hiper-personalize shopping offers, collaborating closely with ML specialists to analyze user preferences and cart contents in real-time. The role focuses on greenfield work to build complex tools enhancing the shopping experience for millions of customers by providing personalized discounts.

• Strong background in Kotlin and backend architectures.
• Willingness to actively learn and write code in TypeScript and React.
• Experience or interest in conceptual work and building new solutions rather than maintaining legacy systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Communicative proficiency in English and Polish (at least B2 level).

• Write backend code primarily in Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with ML experts to build tools analyzing shopping data in real-time.
• Design and build new architectures and greenfield solutions from scratch.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including backend, frontend, and mobile.
• Expand expertise by learning and writing code in TypeScript and React.
