Platform Engineer - Fintech/ Crypto

At Incubly, we support tech companies and startups (scaleups) in scaling their teams quickly with high quality, while enhancing product development, testing, and deployment. The current client is a French leader in security and infrastructure solutions for cryptocurrencies and blockchain applications, with over 400 professionals developing products including leading hardware wallets.

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions including self-hosted runner architectures and provisioning via Terraform.
• Knowledge of JFrog Platform (Artifactory, Xray, Curation) for artifact management and security.
• Familiarity with GHCR, GitHub Packages, and Helm chart repos like ChartMuseum on S3.
• Experience with GitOps continuous delivery using ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts.
• Strong Kubernetes config management skills with Helm and Kustomize.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and Terragrunt including module design.
• Experience with Crossplane or similar Kubernetes-native control-plane tools.
• Experience with developer portals/catalogues such as Backstage.
• Hands-on policy-as-code enforcement in Kubernetes using Kyverno or Open Policy Agent.
• Familiarity with serverless/eventing frameworks like Knative.
• Experience building and optimizing container images, including hardened base images.
• Knowledge of observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Datadog, VictoriaLogs/VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry.
• Comfortable in Linux/Unix with scripting abilities (Bash, Python, Go) and strong Git fundamentals.
• AWS cloud experience is a plus.

CI/CD platform & runner fleet:

• Own and evolve the self-hosted GitHub Actions runner fleet including Linux runners managed via Actions Runner Controller (ARC) and self-hosted macOS runners.
• Right-size runner classes to balance cost efficiency and engineering velocity.
• Support migration from GitHub-hosted runners, evaluating containerised vs VM-based execution.
• Partner with DevOps engineers on pipeline optimization.
• Investigate and resolve macOS virtualization performance issues.

Artifact & package management:

• Administer the JFrog Platform (Artifactory, Xray, Curation) including repository structure and access control.
• Support GitHub Container Registry (GHCR) and GitHub Packages.
• Operate and maintain ChartMuseum as Helm chart repository on S3.
• Define container image ownership boundaries and drive Dockerfile build and layer optimization best practices.

Progressive delivery & infrastructure automation:

• Operate ArgoCD/Argo Rollouts environments for GitOps-based progressive delivery.
• Maintain Helm charts and Kustomize overlays for Kubernetes workloads.
• Design and maintain Terraform and Terragrunt modules for infrastructure-as-code.

Observability & reliability:

• Improve and unify the observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager).
• Define coherent strategy for metrics, logs, and events across Datadog and VictoriaLogs.
• Provide platform telemetry for pipeline and platform performance.

Internal developer platform, policy & modern workloads:

• Evaluate and operate Crossplane as a control-plane layer.
• Contribute to developer portal/internal catalogue strategy (e.g., Backstage).
• Maintain policy-as-code guardrails using Kyverno/Open Policy Agent.
• Support Knative-based serverless/event-driven workloads.
• Roll out OpenTelemetry instrumentation and pipelines.

Developer experience & enablement:

• Act as platform contact for product engineering teams, addressing friction and prioritizing platform work.
• Build self-service tooling, templates, and documentation.
• Document ownership boundaries between platform and product teams.
• Contribute to platform roadmap with focus on engineer-facing outcomes.
