AI Business Architect (Public Services, German)

The Business & Technology Solutions (BTS) department supports clients in public services by designing, planning, and conducting digital and AI-driven transformations, creating a bridge between business objectives, AI opportunities, and technological solutions.

• At least 2 years of experience in IT consulting, business architecture, IT architecture design, IT systems implementation, or digital transformation in public sector organizations.
• Experience in analysis, modeling, process improvement, and translating business requirements into technology-enabled solutions.
• Interest in public sector and opportunities from Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.
• Familiarity with market trends including Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, Digitalization, E-Governance, and Data-Driven Decision Making.
• Good understanding or willingness to develop expertise in AI concepts like Large Language Models (LLMs), AI assistants, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI principles, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate business value, risks, and propose measurable solutions.
• Comfortable working with business stakeholders, architects, data experts, and AI engineering teams in an international environment.
• Strong command of German and English languages.

• Work as an independent consultant advising public sector clients on AI-driven transformation, digitalization, and regulatory implementation.
• Analyze, model, and improve business processes, organizational structures, and IT environments.
• Identify and define AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Prepare concepts, target operating models, AI adoption roadmaps, and support implementation through lifecycle stages.
• Conduct presentations, workshops, discovery sessions, and AI use case assessments with clients and stakeholders.
• Support public sector organizations in compliance, policy implementation, public service delivery, and responsible AI adoption.
• Translate business rules, process requirements, compliance constraints, and user needs into structured requirements for architecture, data, and AI teams.
• Support definition and implementation of AI governance frameworks, Responsible AI principles, AI risk management, and compliance including the EU AI Act.
• Assist in design, testing, and optimization of Generative AI assistants, prompt-based solutions, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Co-create client offers, drive AI adoption, support, and mentor consultants and project teams.
