Staff Software Engineer I

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, PHP, Python, JavaScript
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience developing web applications and working with content management systems like WordPress, Strapi, Contentful
• Strong understanding of designing, building, and consuming REST APIs
• Strong proficiency with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, caching mechanisms, and content delivery networks (CDNs)
• Experience with performance tuning, memory optimization, and related diagnostic tools
• Strong proficiency with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, and reliability principles
• Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through strategic use of AI tools and automation

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code establishing engineering best practices
• Conduct code and design reviews and provide technical guidance
• Troubleshoot complex software issues through root-cause analysis and problem solving
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural patterns, and reusable standards
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for engineering quality, efficiency, or scalability
