Senior Project Manager

AVENGA (Agencja Pracy, nr KRAZ: 8448) is recruiting for a major banking organization. The role involves leading business and IT initiatives in the banking sector within a regulated, international environment.

• University degree, preferably in Management, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering IT or business projects within the banking sector.
• 3+ years of experience as a Program Manager with proven experience managing multiple projects.
• Proven experience with banking documentation subject to regulatory requirements.
• Strong practical knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe).
• Excellent knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Confidence in public speaking and presenting to large audiences.
• Experience working in the banking sector, preferably within international organizations.
• Experience in transaction banking is an advantage.
• Proven experience managing distributed, international teams.
• Experience managing external vendors/suppliers.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, regulated, international environment.

• Manage complex programs consisting of multiple interconnected IT and business projects.
• Coordinate project managers, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Take ownership of program planning, governance, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery.
• Lead projects related to the creation and maintenance of banking documentation within a regulatory framework.
• Coordinate distributed and international teams across different locations and functions.
• Manage communication with senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and large audiences.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery issues and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensure effective project and program governance, reporting, and documentation.
• Work with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe or similar frameworks.
