Platform / System Validation Engineer

CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. The company has over 250 employees since its operation since 2011. Their clients include tech startups and large companies across the US, Japan, Israel, and Europe. The team for this role consists of 5 people including a tech lead, project manager, software engineers, and network engineers using SCRUM/Agile methodology.

• Hands-on experience with SONiC platform and ONIE bootloaders
• Solid understanding of optical modules, CMIS standards, and port breakout configurations
• Experience with firmware upgrades, system recovery protocols, and bootloaders
• Proficiency in thermal and power monitoring interfaces and testing
• Proven track record in platform stability, resilience, and soak testing
• Proficiency in Python and C for building automated test suites
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries
• Good knowledge of computer networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VRF
• Familiarity with white-box switching hardware and data center network topologies
• Working knowledge of Linux systems
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SDN and NFV
• Experience with distributed systems

• Perform SONiC platform bring-up, ONIE installation/configuration, and testing
• Lead initial bring-up and configuration of SONiC-based networking platforms and hardware
• Validate optical modules, CMIS standards, breakout cables, firmware, and hardware subsystems
• Design and maintain automated test suites using Python and C for platform validation
• Validate and execute system upgrades and recovery procedures
• Own overall system stability and long-duration soak testing processes
• Monitor and analyze thermal metrics and power consumption under various workloads
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to debug and resolve platform issues
