Senior Developer – AI-driven Refactoring

Altimi is a technology acceleration partner with over 20 years of experience, specializing in delivering software development projects for international customers primarily in the DACH region and Scandinavia. They focus on managed services to accelerate growth, solve complex tech problems, build MVP/POC, and modify legacy infrastructures with competencies in Product & Application Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Security & Managed Services, and AI & Data Enablement.

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Commercial experience with PHP/Laravel and strong proficiency in Node.js and React
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore)
• Proven practical experience with AI-assisted refactoring tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in migration or legacy projects
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex database logic
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
• Consultant mindset: experience working directly with clients, joining technical discussions and clearly communicating progress and trade-offs
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Experience with React Native or mobile app backends
• Experience in EdTech or e-learning platforms

• Migrate business logic from PHP/Laravel to Node.js, using AI refactoring tools to accelerate the work
• Rewrite and optimize SQL logic and support data migration to the new database
• Build automated pipelines for migrating learning content
• Develop frontend components in React
• Verify AI-generated code: testing, code review, and ensuring functional parity with the old system
• Work closely with the Solution Architect and take part in technical discussions with the client
• Share findings and best practices for AI-assisted development within the team
