Mid-Level IBM Sterling File Gateway Engineer

This position is with ITDS, serving a client who is a leader in enterprise application integration. The role involves working on enterprise-critical secure file transfer solutions including IBM Sterling File Gateway and related technologies. The location is Krakow with a hybrid work model.

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in enterprise environments with similar roles.
• Practical expertise with IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct, External Authentication Server, or Secure Proxy.
• Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols: sFTP, AS2, HTTPS.
• System administration skills on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Fluent English language skills (interviews conducted fully in English).

Nice to have:

• Broader experience with the IBM Sterling product suite.
• Experience working in a distributed, international team environment.

• Implement, configure, and operate IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and related components such as Connect:Direct, External Authentication Server, Secure Proxy, and Control Center.
• Manage and support file transfer protocols including sFTP, AS2, and HTTPS.
• Administer Windows and Linux environments to maintain high availability and performance.
• Support vulnerability remediation activities and perform application upgrades.
• Execute disaster recovery exercises to validate business continuity plans.
• Support change implementations, including occasional work outside regular hours.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with global teams to optimize processes and share best practices.
