Data & AI Engineer (Kraków / Wrocław / Warsaw, Poland)

Since its foundation, Unit8 has successfully delivered more than 250 projects and grown to over 170 individuals across 8 office locations.

• MSc level in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient software engineer with knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience applying a blend of software engineering, machine learning, and statistical methods to solve real-world problems.
• Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, R, Scala, Java.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Pragmatic attitude with active participation in engineering aspects of projects.
• Good presentation and communication skills, able to explain complex analytical concepts.
• Strong teamwork and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel mainly in Europe up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent in French and/or German.

• Depending on the project, work on cloud engineering and infrastructure, data engineering and ETL, as well as machine learning and data science.
• Collaborate with customers to understand challenges and design and implement solutions.
• Evaluate, compare, and present results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to implementation and engineering of systems ranging from proof-of-concepts to large end-to-end data systems.
• Collaborate closely with other data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Use software best practices in continuous integration and delivery, versioning, and data evolution.
• Work in multi-functional agile teams to experiment, iterate, and deliver on new product objectives.
