Senior Software Engineer and Team Manager

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required; MS degree strongly preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience with full lifecycle of project development for Java applications.
• Minimum 2 years experience leading a team of 5-10 people, including full employee lifecycle management.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java or C#/.NET, and object-oriented design.
• Strong experience with high-throughput low-latency systems.
• Deep understanding of database internals and data model design.
• Proven experience designing and building cloud-native systems that are observable, scalable, and resilient.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.
• Strong understanding of financial system characteristics like transaction integrity, data consistency, reconciliation, auditability, and traceability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in Agile and SDLC development methodologies.

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug complex software enhancements and solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create software solutions.
• Direct problem solving for projects or major phases to resolve software technical issues.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs using Java and other needed languages.
• Provide guidance and critical analysis during code reviews.
• Troubleshoot large, mission critical client implementations.
• Participate in agile processes including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Plan and coordinate cross-team activities to complete assignments.
• Identify opportunities to modernize the codebase by transitioning to cloud-native architecture and microservices.
• Leverage artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance and automate processes.
• Mentor and guide Junior Engineers.
• Lead a team of 5-10 engineers technically and managerially.
