Frontend Software Engineer

CD PROJEKT RED is a company focused on creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs. The role is part of the Online Services Team working across multiple projects in the entertainment industry.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web development.
• Practical knowledge of front-end programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with front-end application frameworks: React/Next.js.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and browser fundamentals.
• Understanding of common design patterns and application architecture principles.
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, or similar.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with dependency and build tools such as npm or yarn.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Understanding of web application security and privacy principles.
• Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and web performance fundamentals.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with back-end programming languages: PHP or Go.
• Experience with back-end application frameworks such as Symfony.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of cloud and container orchestration concepts.
• Familiarity with search, messaging, and data technologies such as Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, RabbitMQ, and NoSQL databases.

• Implement and maintain high-quality web applications, services, and supporting systems.
• Deliver features and technical tasks independently using established architectures and engineering practices.
• Own assigned features and tasks from implementation through testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and implement improvements to code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Understand business and user requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
• Apply established technologies and frameworks while developing system and architecture knowledge.
• Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving existing components and solutions.

This position requires working remotely with one day per week in the Warsaw office in Poland. Employment contract type is Umowa o pracę (employment contract) under Polish law. Reports of legal or ethical irregularities in recruitment can be submitted anonymously via company channels.
