Solution Architect

Scalo specializes in delivering software projects and supporting partners in business development. The company offers technological consulting, software creation, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Higher education in IT, technical, or related fields
• Minimum 10 years of professional IT experience
• At least 6 years of experience in IT system or solution architecture design
• Experience independently managing complex IT initiatives from concept to production rollout, involving multiple systems, teams, or business domains
• Broad knowledge of technologies including databases, programming languages, and cloud platforms, with the ability to select appropriate technologies for project needs
• Familiarity with architectural styles and patterns such as layered architecture, modular monolith, SOA, microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud solutions
• Experience in designing or modernizing microservices and distributed systems, including service integration, data flow, and communication models
• Knowledge of patterns enhancing system fault tolerance like circuit breaker and retry
• Ability to create architecture diagrams using UML or ArchiMate and work with architecture repositories such as Enterprise Architect
• Practical knowledge of non-functional requirements including security, availability, performance, observability, scalability, RPO, and RTO parameters
• Ability to conduct technical decision agreements and communicate with diverse stakeholders including business representatives, management, and technical teams

• Experience in projects for the insurance or financial sectors
• Experience in gradual monolith decomposition or legacy system modernization
• Architecture certifications
• Cloud certifications
• Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM
• Knowledge of BPMN and experience in system design and integration

• Designing complex IT solutions for the insurance sector
• Selecting system architecture, technologies, components, and integration models considering security, costs, risks, and scalability
• Developing architectural documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and architectural diagrams
• Designing integrations between internal and external systems, including API and data exchange format definitions
• Designing and modernizing microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Defining non-functional requirements and standards for security, availability, performance, scalability, and observability
• Analyzing and assessing new technologies, preparing proof of concept (PoC), and recommending optimal solutions
• Identifying architectural risks and developing system modernization roadmaps
• Supporting technical teams by providing guidelines, reviewing design decisions, and solving complex technical issues
• Verifying compliance of designed and developed solutions with architectural, security, and quality standards
• Performing work in a hybrid mode, with one day per week in the Warsaw office
