Programista (Python Developer) K/M

Polskie Radio S.A. w likwidacji is the employer, offering a role focused on backend service development supporting Polish Radio's internet services and mobile applications. The position is based in Warszawa, specifically Mokotów district, with the workplace located near the Wierzbno metro station.

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience programming in Python or equivalent project experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience with one of the web frameworks: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Practical experience designing and developing REST APIs and knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and data modelling principles.
• Experience with Redis or other caching/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to write testable, readable code and practical knowledge of unit and integration tests (pytest).
• Knowledge of Clean Code principles, SOLID, and basics of service/microservice design.
• Independence in problem-solving, communicative, and able to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python and queue/event-driven systems.
• Experience with high-traffic systems, content processing, or audio/video solutions.
• Familiarity with observability and application monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of .NET or frontend technologies (React / Next.js) to facilitate cross-team cooperation.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as pandas or NumPy.

• Develop and maintain backend services supporting internet and mobile applications for Polish Radio.
• Design, implement, and develop APIs and microservices using Python.
• Design data models, develop databases, and optimize queries and service performance.
• Integrate with internal and external systems, including caching and queuing solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend (Next.js) and mobile (React Native) teams on API contracts and data models.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
• Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger and maintain technical quality of services.
• Diagnose production issues and improve monitoring, reliability, and scalability of systems.
