Senior Backend Developer – Banking Sector

The role is offered by a leading financial institution focused on transforming banking through innovative technology in Kraków, operating with a hybrid work model.

• At least 5 years of backend development experience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, or other relevant backend technologies.
• Proven experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security standards pertinent to banking systems.
• Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and storage solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid mode with at least 6 days per month in the Kraków office.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in Java, cloud platforms, or security.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of AI or data analytics within banking solutions.

• Develop and optimize backend applications in alignment with banking industry standards and security protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust APIs and system integrations.
• Maintain high-quality code through rigorous testing, documentation, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure seamless banking operations.
• Assist in the automation and deployment processes to streamline release cycles.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical planning for future banking solutions.
