Head of Data Engineering & Analytics - Fintech Engineering (M/F/N)

InPost is building a scale-up inside its fintech branch, InPost Pay, focused on data and AI integration. The company is creating a data foundation crucial for financial decision-making, supporting credit, decisioning, and data products within a logistics and supply chain context.

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer and/or Architect.
• 3+ years leading data engineering or analytics engineering teams.
• Strong leadership and passion for building data systems.
• Hands-on technical expertise across all layers from ingestion to serving, particularly with AI.
• Proven experience with lakehouse and feature-store architecture at functional scale.
• Proficiency in data quality, observability, and lineage frameworks within multi-team environments.
• Experience managing staff, senior, and mid-level engineers, including budget and roadmap planning.
• Experience building agentic systems in production.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of fintech regulations such as CCD2, PSD2, and DORA.
• Experience with credit-risk or underwriting data.
• Familiarity with streaming or Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Experience scaling data functions during rapid growth.
• Vendor negotiation experience.

• Lead the Data Engineering & Analytics team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Direct pipeline and feature-store architecture for all data products supporting credit and decisioning.
• Co-author the platform roadmap alongside the Director of Data & AI and the Data Product Lead.
• Establish AI-first engineering standards across the team.
• Ensure data platform guarantees point-in-time correctness, freshness, and full lineage with data quality monitoring.
• Oversee agent-first pipelines with guardrails, evaluations, observability, and control of cost and latency.
• Maintain GDPR-aware governance that is audit-ready and fast to ship.
• Plan budget, tooling expenditure, and headcount with a focus on monetary value creation and protection.
