Senior VMware vSphere Administrator – Infrastructure Solutions

Our client is a global leader in enterprise infrastructure solutions, offering robust and mission-critical application infrastructure across diverse industries. This role is based in Krakow with a hybrid work model.

• 5+ years of experience administering VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8 in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts: virtual machines, clusters, resource pools, snapshots.
• Hands-on experience with vCenter Server management and high-availability features such as vSphere HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Proficiency in VMware networking, storage, and performance tuning.
• Solid UNIX/Linux skills including RHEL Administration and scripting with Bash.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments and scripting with PowerShell.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and restore strategies.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with automation tools like PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager and compliance management.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
• Basic understanding of German language skills.

• Ensure operational stability, integrity, and availability of VMware vSphere environments supporting enterprise-wide applications.
• Resolve vSphere incidents and troubleshoot network, storage, and hardware issues promptly.
• Develop and implement automation processes to optimize build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Manage vSphere clusters including configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and resource utilization; execute root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions and improvements.
• Maintain compliance with Service Management standards and ensure high data quality.
• Handle on-call support to address urgent issues and minimize downtime.
