Senior IT Analyst - Trading Systems

Nordea Bank ABP is a major Nordic bank with a 200-year history, operating in the Nordic countries, Poland, and Estonia. The role is part of the Equity DevOps team within the Application Maintenance capability, focusing on stable operations of business-critical equity trading platforms processing up to a billion transactions daily, supporting traders, developers, and vendors.

• Experience supporting business critical trading applications in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding or strong personal interest in Order Management Systems / Electronic Trading
• Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL or similar)
• Understanding of application lifecycle and production support
• Interest in automation and reducing recurring operational tasks
• Curiosity about electronic and automated trading systems operation end to end
• Hands-on operational experience with Windows and Linux
• Hands-on operational experience with Python and PowerShell
• Basic or intermediate understanding of the FIX protocol
• Intermediate SQL skills for analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Geneos, Grafana, or similar
• Exposure to electronic and automated trading environments
• Experience with Front Arena or Murex is welcome but not mandatory

• Manage and support business critical equity trading applications in production
• Act as first point of contact for trading desks regarding trading and data issues
• Handle complex incidents across multiple teams and technology areas
• Work according to Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes (ITIL or similar)
• Ensure system stability during high volume and volatile market conditions
• Maintain and extend monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools such as Grafana
• Drive automation and operational improvements
• Create and maintain operational and technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with traders, developers, and vendor support teams

This role requires working in two weekday shifts (07:00–15:00 or 10:00–18:00) and presence 3 days per week at the Gdańsk or Warsaw office.
