Technical Lead - Observability - RDT Digital Operations and Reliability

The Digital Operations and Reliability function manages the performance, reliability, and availability of RDT enterprise-wide digital platforms and infrastructure, focusing on proactive management and compliance. The Observability Tools Engineering team provides scalable observability platforms and frameworks to accelerate developer velocity and support SRE adoption.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development, DevOps/DevSecOps, or platform engineering.
• 2+ years experience in multinational, highly regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare technology preferred).
• Proven leadership experience guiding and mentoring geo-distributed engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in Application Observability tools and frameworks, including Grafana Cloud, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, LogicMonitor.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, Ansible, Consul.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, source control (GitLab, GitHub), and scripting/programming languages such as Python.
• Understanding of solution, information, and process architecture, and Agile delivery tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to innovate.
• Enterprise mindset to manage MSP/vendor interactions and align technical work with business strategies.

• Drive the technical vision, architectural roadmap, and design for the Application Observability platform ensuring scalability, availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead design and deployment of enterprise-grade observability tools such as Grafana Cloud, promoting Open Telemetry Standards.
• Drive SRE adoption to reduce MTTR and accelerate developer velocity.
• Oversee and advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform, Vault, Ansible.
• Manage automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes on multi-cloud platforms.
• Enforce DevSecOps and security practices throughout the delivery pipeline.
• Establish engineering standards, code quality benchmarks, and architectural consistency.
• Coach and mentor senior engineers and geo-distributed teams.
• Partner with Product Owner, architects, and stakeholders to translate strategy into technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and security standards in healthcare/pharma domains.
• Support ITSM processes, technical audit remediation, and disaster recovery planning.
