Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building AI-powered, cloud-native technology to help users organize data and discover truth in high-stakes legal matters. Their AI Platform group develops the agentic foundation for products like aiR Assist and ClaiR, focusing on agent orchestration, tool execution, memory, and communication protocols.

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong, recent experience in Python for production systems.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph, including tool calling and agent state management.
• Proficient in writing clean, testable code and contributing to design.
• Solid understanding of modern async Python, API and service design, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud-native systems (Azure or similar), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker); familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• English proficiency at C1 level for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Deep Agents, multi-agent architectures, agent memory, or human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent-to-agent interoperability.
• Knowledge of RAG, retrieval systems, and evaluation of LLM output quality.
• Familiarity with observability and tracing tools such as MLflow and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.

• Build and extend the agent runtime in Python using LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents for stateful graph agents and orchestration.
• Implement harness features such as streaming output, tool calling, human-in-the-loop review, session memory, and checkpoint/resume over long-running work.
• Develop extensibility and protocol layers including Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool servers and clients, agent-to-agent interoperability, and runtime configuration registry.
• Select appropriate models from various LLM providers such as OpenAI and Gemini according to use cases.
• Write clean, well-tested code, participate in design/code reviews, and own components through production.
• Collaborate with Applied Science and AI application teams to safely move new capabilities into production.
