Senior Python Developer & Data Engineer

• 10+ years of professional software and data engineering experience.
• Strong development skills in Python and PySpark, with recent continuous use.
• Previous development experience with Java and/or C#.
• Experience designing and developing ETL and data processing solutions including cleansing, ingestion, transformation, loading, and reporting.
• Proficient with Unix/Linux platforms, including file operations, permissions, and environment configuration.
• Experience with Shell scripting, Autosys, and Oracle databases.
• Ability to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and agile software delivery.
• Knowledge of SDLC within Agile models.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including ADLS, Azure Key Vault, and Databricks.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Prime Brokerage, counterparty risk, margining, or post-trade risk management.
• Experience building cloud-native data platforms in financial services.
• Practical experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience creating AI agents or automation solutions supporting engineering.

• Design and develop strategic cloud-based data solutions supporting counterparty risk and client margining processes.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines using Python and PySpark improving data quality, ingestion, and reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into implementable solutions.
• Develop and support Azure-based data platforms utilizing Databricks, ADLS, and Azure Key Vault.
• Contribute to CI/CD initiatives, agile delivery practices, and operational excellence using GitLab, Unix environments, Shell scripting, and databases.
