Wealth Platforms Analyst – Junior QA Engineer (She/He/They)

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, banking technology, or financial services.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• German or French language skills that allow interaction with clients.
• Basic knowledge of banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Selenium, or automation testing concepts.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or VBA.
• Experience with web or mobile application testing.
• Exposure to automation testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Project scope:

• Participate in large Avaloq transformation projects in private banking and wealth management, or in Run-the-Bank and Change-the-Bank services.
• Participate in banking software implementation phases, focusing on quality assurance, testing, validation, and maintenance.

Business aspects:

• Collaborate with global clients and colleagues locally and abroad on implementing and supporting solutions.
• Participate in international Avaloq banking system transformation projects across areas including Stock Exchange, Payments, CRM and KYC, interfacing, and data migration.
• Support project teams in delivering reliable, business-ready solutions through testing and defect management.

Project and technical aspects:

• Assist in preparing, executing, and maintaining test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Support validation of business and functional requirements.
• Participate in functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to quality assurance, reporting, and project documentation.
• Use collaboration tools including JIRA and Confluence.
• Gain exposure to programming languages such as Java, VBA, and JavaScript, and test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
• Gain exposure to test automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and modern quality engineering approaches.
