Java with ETL and Seeburger

• 6+ years of software development experience across Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
• Strong back-end development experience, including system integration and/or migration.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), and Agile control frameworks.
• Strong working experience with Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and development automation.
• Familiarity with engineering and delivery tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Ansible, Git/GitHub, and SonarQube or equivalent.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as JUnit.
• Ability to mentor others, share knowledge, and raise engineering standards.
• Ability to make technical decisions aligned with strategy and take accountability for outcomes and quality.

Nice to have:

• Front-end development experience.
• Exposure to Spring Cloud and/or MuleSoft.
• Development experience with Seeburger BIS or EDI.
• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and containerisation with Docker.
• Experience with production support, incident management, and service reliability.

• Translate Group and Wholesale strategy into technical solutions aligned with business needs.
• Own design and development across the software lifecycle, producing secure, maintainable code that meets engineering standards.
• Support delivery planning and execution in Agile and/or Waterfall teams, collaborating with developers, testers, analysts, and architects.
• Identify and reduce technical debt, improving code quality, performance, resilience, and reusability.
• Work with stakeholders, SMEs, and Solution Architects to clarify requirements and align solutions with target architecture.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, and feedback.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and operational readiness.
• Participate in support activities, including incident investigation, problem management, and root-cause analysis; drive permanent fixes and preventative improvements.
• Participate in all parts of the development lifecycle, including analysis, testing, and production support.
