Join an ongoing project for a client in the telecommunications industry, building and maintaining a stable, scalable, and secure cloud platform in a Platform Engineering team. You will operate production clusters and automate infrastructure and deployments using AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), while improving observability and developer self-service.
Wymagania
- Strong commercial experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, including hands-on experience operating production clusters.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and practical experience with Amazon EKS.
- Very good knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Lambda.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions.
- Understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure security, and access management.
- Familiarity with multicloud environments.
- Experience automating operational processes and improving infrastructure reliability.
- Understanding of self-service platforms, Developer Experience, and internal engineering quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a service-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Experience working in agile and international engineering teams.
- German at C1 level, including fluent communication in technical discussions and meetings.
- English at C1 level.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Thanos, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of Helm, Argo CD, or Flux CD.
- Experience implementing GitOps practices.
- Familiarity with Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
- Experience building self-service solutions and Golden Paths for developers.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AWS cost optimization and FinOps.
- Experience with production incident management and on-call support.
Obowiązki
- Develop, operate, and maintain production Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS).
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, availability, and security of the cloud platform.
- Take ownership of platform infrastructure, observability, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Develop and maintain observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Manage AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, S3, and Lambda.
- Collaborate with Developer Experience teams to improve self-service capabilities and development workflows.
- Contribute to standardized engineering workflows and Golden Paths.
- Optimize platform performance, security, scalability, and Developer Experience.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure platform stability in production environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform reliability outside regular working hours.
- Communicate and collaborate with international engineering teams in German and English.

Inne informacje
