Own the end-to-end delivery of a large data warehouse migration to the cloud for an insurance client, replacing a legacy platform that supports financial, actuarial and regulatory reporting. Coordinate multiple workstreams, vendors and client teams, with a focus on keeping regulatory reporting on schedule. The target platform may include Databricks or Snowflake on Azure or AWS.

Wymagania

10+ years in IT delivery, including 5+ years as a programme manager accountable for multi-workstream programmes with multi-million budgets and teams of 30+ across client, vendor and consulting staff.
Delivered at least one large data warehouse or data platform migration end to end, from a legacy EDW such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, SAS or Informatica to a cloud platform such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure or AWS data services, including parallel run, reconciliation and decommissioning.
Insurance experience, including understanding data behind policy administration, claims, reinsurance, finance and actuarial reporting, and reporting calendars such as financial close, Solvency II and IFRS 17.
Technical fluency to follow discussions on lakehouse versus warehouse, ELT pipelines, data modelling and reconciliation approaches, and challenge estimates or migration wave plans.
Strong programme management toolkit covering integrated planning, estimation and EAC tracking, RAID management, change control, benefits tracking and dependency management across workstreams.
Vendor and contract management experience, including SOWs, acceptance, performance management and escalation with system integrators and software vendors.
Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for cloud in Polish financial services, including GDPR, DORA, outsourcing and cloud notification requirements of the insurance regulator.
Executive-level communication skills, including structured written status, steering decks, raising bad news early with options, and chairing steering committees with a CFO and CRO.
Full professional fluency in Polish and English.

Nice to have:

PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or SAFe certification.
Hands-on background in data engineering or BI earlier in your career.
Experience with migration tooling and automated conversion, such as ETL code converters, SQL translation and data reconciliation frameworks.
FinOps for cloud data platforms, including consumption forecasting and cost control.
Experience on the client side of an insurer or a bank.

Obowiązki

Programme delivery:

Lead mobilisation, discovery and assessment, migration waves, parallel run, cut-over, decommissioning and hypercare.
Structure the programme into workstreams and manage them through workstream leads.
Own the budget and business case, including estimates, estimate at completion, vendor and licence costs, cloud consumption and trade-offs.
Run programme governance, including steering committees, status and risk reporting, the RAID log, change control and decision log.
Manage vendors and system integrators, including contracts, SOWs, deliverable acceptance, performance and escalation; coordinate client data, IT, security and compliance teams.
Lead change and adoption for report consumers, analysts and actuaries moving to the new platform, including training and legacy warehouse decommissioning.
Contribute delivery methods and estimation assets for data migrations, proposals and pre-sales.

Reporting continuity and compliance:

Plan migration waves around financial close, Solvency II and IFRS 17 cycles and regulator deadlines.
Define reconciliation and sign-off criteria with Finance, Actuarial and Risk before any source is switched off.
Make GDPR, DORA, outsourcing, cloud notification requirements, data residency and audit requirements part of the plan from day one.

Technical approach:

Work with the lead architect and data engineering leads on the target platform, migration tooling and environment strategy.
Hold the team to delivery discipline and definition of done.
