Maintaining, automating, and scaling XTB’s core on-premises and hybrid infrastructure for online trading of financial instruments. The role spans VMware virtualization, enterprise storage, Linux environments, and critical database clusters.

Wymagania

5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering (on-premises / data center / hybrid environments).
Deep technical knowledge of VMware vSphere and vCenter administration and troubleshooting.
Operational experience with database clusters (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including maintenance, replication, backup and restore, and health monitoring.
Strong practical administration skills in Linux (Debian / Ubuntu), including performance diagnostics, security hardening, and log analysis.
Proven experience with enterprise storage concepts (SAN, zoning, multipathing, performance tuning).
Practical experience with enterprise backup platforms (Commvault preferred or equivalent).
Hands-on scripting and automation skills with Ansible, Bash or Python, and version control (Git).
Solid understanding of high-availability architectures and BCP/DR frameworks.
Readiness to participate in paid on-call rotations and occasional travel to data centers.
Good technical English, spoken and written, at minimum B2 level.

Nice to have:

Experience in high-availability, low-latency environments such as fintech, trading, or telecommunications.
Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible AWX, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), such as Dell VxRail.
Awareness of regulatory and security standards such as NIS2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
Industry certifications: VMware (VCP), Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE), or storage/backup platforms.

Obowiązki

Administer and optimize VMware virtualization environments (vSphere / vCenter), including cluster lifecycle, resource management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Maintain and support production database environments (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Manage enterprise storage infrastructure (SAN / block and file storage), including capacity planning, performance diagnostics, and array maintenance.
Administer and harden Linux servers (Ubuntu / Debian) across production and staging environments.
Oversee enterprise backup and recovery solutions (Commvault), including retention policies, automation, and regular disaster recovery tests.
Automate operational workflows and standardize infrastructure using Ansible, Bash, Python, and Git.
Support BCP/DR initiatives.
Participate in a structured on-call rotation to guarantee high availability of mission-critical systems.
Collaborate with platform, security, and development teams.
