Podsumowanie oferty

The EBMS Real-Time Data Platform team is building and maintaining a real-time BMS data pipeline that ingests telemetry from building management systems worldwide. You will develop and operate stream-processing applications using Java, Apache Flink, and Amazon Kinesis, with a focus on reliability and observability.

Wymagania

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
Strong proficiency in Java, with production-level experience building and deploying applications.
Hands-on experience with Apache Flink or an equivalent stream-processing framework, such as Spark Streaming or Kafka Streams.
Experience with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams or a similar distributed messaging or streaming platform.
Demonstrated experience building and operating systems with 99%+ uptime SLAs.
Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, including fault tolerance, exactly-once semantics, checkpointing, and backpressure management.
Experience with AWS services, including DynamoDB, S3, Athena, CloudWatch, and IAM.
Proficiency with infrastructure as code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

Nice to have:

Experience with MQTT, Haystack protocol, or Niagara N4.
Familiarity with Apache Avro, AWS Glue Schema Registry, or similar schema management tools.
Experience with Grafana, CloudWatch Logs Insights, or distributed tracing frameworks.
Knowledge of chaos engineering practices and tools.
Prior experience with BMS or IoT data pipelines.
Python proficiency for scripting, data analysis, and tooling.

Obowiązki

Stream processing and infrastructure:

Design, develop, and optimize Apache Flink stream-processing applications for real-time BMS data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
Build and maintain Amazon Kinesis Data Streams infrastructure, including shard management, auto-scaling policies, and dead-letter queues.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using CDK or CloudFormation for pipeline components and repeatable, auditable deployments.

Observability and operations:

Implement dashboards using CloudWatch and Grafana, distributed tracing, structured logging, and tiered alerting across the pipeline.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the ingestion-to-serving stack, including Kinesis, Flink, DynamoDB, S3, and Athena.

Data quality:

Implement data quality monitoring, including record count validation, schema drift detection, and null-rate anomaly detection across sites.

Benefity

Professional development tools, including a mentorship program, tech talks, trainings, and centers of excellence.
Education reimbursement.
Corporate events and team buildings.
