Site Reliability Engineer

• Experienced engineer building and maintaining Java-based services with the Spring framework and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of observability practices, performance tuning, and debugging.
• Broad experience running and optimizing Java-based microservices including database performance queries.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and mentor others.

Nice to have:

• Experience with message-driven architectures or event sourcing.
• Familiarity with modern observability patterns and tooling.

• Improve the availability, latency, and efficiency of Java microservice-based systems.
• Split time equally between coding and working with product squads to enforce engineering standards such as logging and monitoring.
• Optimize microservices performance by improving database queries, reducing response times, and lowering processing overhead.
• Implement observability tooling and lead performance tuning initiatives for distributed systems.
• Provide training for teams on microservice performance improvements, incident management exercises, and game days.
