Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Computer Science

Fibertide employs engineers with strong mathematical and computer science backgrounds. They design, maintain, and develop large-scale cloud systems for companies from the U.S. and Europe, including both startups and established businesses requiring assistance with technologies for large userbases, big datasets, and rapid growth.

• At least 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications, data pipelines, or other services
• Thorough familiarity with AWS and GCP services and best practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code paradigms such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
• Experience with modern configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef
• Strong programming skills in any technology
• Up-to-date knowledge of cloud trends and quick learning ability
• Proficiency in mathematics, theoretical computer science, and advanced algorithms
• Deep familiarity with software optimization, networking concepts, operating systems, and low-level optimization
• Excellent communication skills to represent the company before partners
• Ability to lead and organize a small team to meet client business expectations

Nice to have:

• Significant experience managing complex Kubernetes clusters
• Detailed knowledge of cloud providers beyond AWS and GCP
• Degree in theoretical Computer Science

• Designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems
• Developing specialized data-processing software
• Advising customers and their development teams on cloud-native solutions
• Developing in-house utilities for managing cloud systems
• Providing technical and business guidance within projects alongside Cloud Architects
