Senior Java Backend Developer

This role is part of the Third-Party Services team at a leading international bank, serving 40+ million customers. The team works with global vendors to develop innovative digital products, including a global digital identity verification and authentication service that integrates via API for real-time ID authenticity checks and anti-impersonation.

• Strong technical skills in cloud-based technology, specifically AWS serverless or other public cloud
• Advanced knowledge of Java programming
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Ability and willingness to write tests at any level using BDD and TDD approaches
• Experience or knowledge in DevOps practices, especially with Terraform is a plus
• Understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript, Android, and iOS is a plus
• Comfortable working in an agile environment with a small cross-functional team

• Defining, building, and testing technical solutions in an agile environment
• Writing infrastructure as code using Terraform and cloud formation
• Developing CI/CD pipelines using Groovy
• Writing unit tests with Spock framework, e2e tests with Cucumber, and contract-based tests with PACT
• Defining architecture and technical solutions including R&D on cloud and third-party vendor services
• Collaborating in a small cross-functional team using XP practices
