BUSINESS UNIT TECHNICAL MANAGER

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of development experience.
• Experience managing teams of at least 8-10 people.
• Experience with project management and delivery methodologies including waterfall, scrum, and agile.
• Significant experience in software development with backend programming languages, particularly Java.
• Experience with Python and Golang is highly valued.
• Extensive knowledge of best practice software development design patterns.
• Proven track record in web-based application development using the Spring framework, Java, and JSP.
• Experience working with SAP Commerce or other eCommerce platforms based on Spring and Java is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective team management.
• Good communication skills in English and Polish.
• Openness to weekly visits to the Katowice office.

• Management of the Polish BU team, ensuring clear assignments, roles, and responsibilities.
• Acting as a mentor to help the team grow and develop new skills.
• Establishing regular checkpoints with the BU team and conducting annual performance reviews with UK management.
• Aligning to Reply Polska requirements in work organization and team support.
• Implementing and overseeing development of the eCommerce platform with best practices and high code quality.
• Collaborating with engineers, software developers, and architects to design, develop, refactor, test, and deliver features.
• Performing and guiding peer code reviews with detailed suggestions for fixes and improvements.
• Developing and maintaining unit tests as part of the software development process.
• Interacting closely with product owners and management teams to review and implement designs.
• Shaping the technical direction of the project and making critical architectural decisions.
