Senior Snowflake Engineer/Architect with Data Security

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure
• 2+ years of experience as a Snowflake Architect
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep)
• Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake security and data protection mechanisms
• Advanced data modeling skills
• Experience assessing and optimizing Snowflake platforms for security and scalability
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Exposure to AI-driven data solutions beyond Snowflake Cortex
• Certifications in Snowflake or Azure

• Design, architect, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake and Azure
• Lead Snowflake architecture initiatives, ensuring performance, scalability, and security best practices
• Conduct Snowflake Data Platform assessments, particularly in security and scalability areas
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Bicep
• Leverage Snowflake AI capabilities (e.g., Cortex AI) to enhance data solutions
• Develop and maintain robust data models to support analytics and business intelligence
• Define and enforce data security standards (access controls, encryption, auditability)
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to data engineering teams
• Architect secure Snowflake-based solutions and drive their implementation across projects
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure data platform designs
• Define and enforce security and governance standards for data access, processing and sharing
• Participate in technical reviews, threat modelling and security assessments for data initiatives
