AI/NLP/ML Expert (m/f)

The role is for an AI/NLP/ML Expert in the e-government sector based in Brussels, Belgium. The candidate will join the Development team and collaborate closely with a major client's IT team, working on cutting-edge AI solutions in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum 17 years of relevant IT experience.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale AI transformation projects.
• Strong background in designing, optimizing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI systems.
• Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Solid experience in Microsoft Azure Analytics (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) and related AI services (e.g., AI Studio, Azure ML, AI Search).
• Experience with data processing and ETL tools.
• Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices.
• A PhD is considered an asset.
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).

• Architect, design, and implement advanced machine learning models, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models (LLMs).
• Collaborate with data scientists on data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training pipelines.
• Deploy machine learning models and AI solutions in production environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Integrate AI models with existing systems and workflows.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of AI models, including A/B testing, cross-validation, and error analysis.
