Staff Systems Administrator – Endpoint Engineering

The Staff Systems Administrator is a senior technical authority on the IT Operations Endpoint Engineering team responsible for setting strategy and technical directions to ensure the endpoint ecosystem is secure, scalable, and operationally excellent. Endpoint Engineering manages and secures entry points to company technology to protect from cyber threats and ensure optimal endpoint performance.

• Demonstrated senior/principal-level experience with endpoint platforms and security controls in an enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team initiatives spanning IT Operations and Security with strong execution discipline.
• Strong ability to design and implement enforceable endpoint security baselines and least privilege controls.

Enterprise Endpoint Architecture & Technical Strategy:

• Define and steward endpoint architecture patterns across management, security, deployment, and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership across major endpoint roadmap initiatives such as Intune optimization and Defender/Intune integration.
• Establish implementation patterns and guardrails to reduce fragmentation and improve reliability.

Endpoint Security Baselines, Hardening, and Least Privilege Leadership:

• Lead design and implementation of endpoint hardening and baseline configuration across platforms.
• Drive least privileged outcomes through engineered controls and governance models.
• Ensure endpoint security controls are enforceable, measurable, and sustainable at scale.

Cross-Functional Delivery Leadership:

• Partner with Security using a shared delivery model emphasizing tracking, documentation, and auditability.
• Ensure security and endpoint initiatives are executed through disciplined work management.

Platform Engineering & Operational Excellence:

• Configure enforcement, remediations, reporting, and deployment pipelines to reduce operational toil.
• Establish standards for staged rollouts and enforcement readiness gates.

Highest-Tier Escalation, Incident Leadership, and Problem Resolution:

• Act as final technical escalation point for complex endpoint incidents and lead root-cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers and partner teams on troubleshooting standards and operational runbook quality.

Standards, Documentation, and Knowledge Systems:

• Own endpoint engineering documentation including runbooks and standards.
• Produce executive-ready technical artifacts to support leadership decision-making.
