Senior Fullstack Developer (Java+Angular or React)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to focus on platform modernization, decoupling initiatives, and engineering excellence within core English Language Learning systems. This role is hands‑on and delivery‑driven, working on critical, long‑lived services to support modernization efforts while ensuring stability, scalability, and quality of core platforms. The expectation is strong technical ownership, independent execution, and the ability to drive complex engineering work within an established product landscape.

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer on backend or platform systems
• Strong expertise in Java and modern backend development practices
• Experience with Spring Framework or other similar
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor or equivalent)
• Hands‑on experience modernizing legacy systems or monoliths
• Practical experience with trunk‑based development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies
• Solid understanding of cloud‑based architectures (AWS and/or Azure)
• Experience designing APIs and service‑to‑service communication
• Ability to operate independently and deliver results in a contractor model

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on large‑scale, long‑lived enterprise platforms
• Exposure to observability or reliability engineering practices
• Front‑end experience (React or similar)
• Experience in education or learning platforms

• Actively participate in technical design and decision‑making
• Review code and contribute to shared engineering standards

Quality & Reliability:

• Promote strong automated testing practices (unit, integration)
• Ensure production readiness, including operability, monitoring, and logging
• Participate in incident analysis and drive follow‑up technical improvements when required
