Tech Lead (LP)

HSBC Technology Poland is part of HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, operating in 64 countries and territories. The role supports development and maintenance of FICC Pricing Applications within the delivery team, focusing on backend coding and tooling to meet business requirements.

• Strong Java engineering experience (7+ years) with mentoring ability.
• Experience driving platform improvements including performance optimization and production stability.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Elasticsearch, and ELK.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
• Exposure to message-driven architectures using JMS, IBM MQ, Artemis, or Solace.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cybersecurity tools including TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, NexusIQ, and CheckMarx.
• Experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Unit Test, Regression Test, e2e Test, and version control tools like Subversion and Git.
• In-depth knowledge of Trade Life cycle and Straight Through Processing (STP).

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Fixed Income Cash and Derivative products.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting guidelines.
• Understanding of third-party tools like ION for pricing and market data.
• Experience with High Frequency and Low latency coding.
• Knowledge of Rust, Go, and Python.

• Work on code development for new requirements and fixing existing bugs/defects according to agreed standards and best practices.
• Contribute to requirements gathering and delivery planning to meet business partners’ needs in quality and on-time delivery.
• Consult with business stakeholders to understand objectives and develop user stories with product owners and business analysts.
• Identify transformation opportunities and automate processes.
• Work with development and testing teams to map requirements to delivery schedules and ensure appropriate test case execution.
• Identify potential issues, review solutions, and recommend problem-solving strategies.
• Provide support to the technical lead responsible for project delivery.
• Conduct research in technology and business processes to ensure best practices for delivery.
