Proofpoint Email Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Expertise

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on email security systems.
• Deep understanding of SMTP, SMTP Auth, and email infrastructure.
• Practical experience with Proofpoint or similar email security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of threat prevention techniques and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based email systems including Exchange Online.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects in highly regulated, multinational environments.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues and implement strategic solutions.

Nice to have:

• Certification in cybersecurity or email security (e.g., CEH, CISSP, Proofpoint certifications).
• Experience with data classification, encryption, and data discovery tools.
• Knowledge of industry frameworks, standards, and best practices in cybersecurity.

• Configure, deploy, and optimize Proofpoint email security solutions to mitigate threats.
• Manage security policies and conduct threat analyses to prevent email-based attacks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate email security practices.
• Monitor and respond to email security incidents promptly.
• Evaluate new email security technologies and recommend improvements.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for threat intelligence.
• Maintain documentation, dashboards, and reports on email security performance.
• Support team development through knowledge sharing and best practices implementation.
