Software Engineering Manager

We operate in the IT sector supporting international companies in regulated industries such as banking, finance, insurance, and pharmaceuticals. We provide comprehensive quality control and implement modern HR platforms for employee management.

• Proven track record building and delivering modern web applications, ideally including high-traffic marketing or eCommerce sites.
• Experience in technical leadership or senior engineering positions, with the ability to manage projects independently without product or technical program managers.
• Deep, hands-on familiarity with Storyblok or alternative headless CMS platforms like Contentful or Sanity.
• Proven ability to collaborate directly with non-technical teams, including Marketing and Design, while managing the entire stakeholder relationship.
• Advanced frontend development expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, paired with extensive React and Next.js knowledge.
• Comprehensive grasp of web performance tuning, SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and conversion rate optimization.
• Capability to architect scalable and maintainable frontend systems, with beneficial experience in personalization, authentication, or eCommerce systems.

• Lead the creation and deployment of web solutions that drive Nearmap’s online presence and business objectives.
• Manage the full lifecycle of website projects, from initial requirement gathering to final production deployment.
• Serve as the main technical liaison for Marketing and other business stakeholders.
• Uphold rigorous standards for code quality, testing, and long-term platform maintainability.
• Guide and mentor a small engineering team, promoting a collaborative and high-achieving work environment.
