UI Engineer 5 - Creative Review Engineering

The Creative Review Engineering team at Netflix is building a next-generation media review and collaboration platform for the creation of global feature films and television series. They develop a robust, cross-platform, high-performance system that centralizes and secures work-in-progress media files, facilitating content review and collaboration. The team owns the full content lifecycle including media ingestion, processing, and collaboration features, deeply integrated with the Studio's internal systems.

• Passionate and knowledgeable about UI Engineering and related technologies.
• Experience building enterprise applications with React, TypeScript, React-Native, internal UI frameworks, and video player technologies.
• Familiarity with backend services built with Java Spring Boot, GraphQL, gRPC, and internal frameworks.
• Experience with media processing pipelines, transcoding, DRM systems, or cloud-based media services such as AWS Elemental is a plus.
• Familiarity with storage and metadata services like S3 and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions is beneficial.
• Strong sense of ownership, independence, initiative, and collaboration.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, and lead technical improvements.
• Experience defining and ensuring UI Engineering best practices across teams.

• Work cross-functionally to build, test, deploy, and launch scalable UIs.
• Participate in product reviews and team meetings to provide technical insights.
• Evaluate and apply new technologies to streamline application development tooling.
• Learn and contribute to evolving systems and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident reviews.
• Communicate complex technical issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
• Apply engineering best practices to guide projects and support team growth.
• Promote an inclusive team environment and uphold high standards of conduct and performance.
