Cloud Security & DevOps Engineer

Ajaia is a rapidly growing AI consultancy and product studio focused on AI Strategy and Advisory, AI Engineering and Automation, Workforce Training and Enablement, and Custom Product Development. They build proprietary AI products, copilots, and vertical solutions for high-value industry problems and work with enterprises to deploy secure, compliant, and high-impact AI solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• 2–5 years experience in cloud engineering (multi-cloud with GCP, Azure), DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure security
• Hands-on experience with GCP and Azure cloud environments
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
• Experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals: IAM policies, network segmentation, firewall rules, encryption at rest and in transit
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience with security monitoring and alerting systems
• Support internal IT operations: access management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint security, onboarding automation
• Familiarity with compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2 preferred)
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
• Proficiency with AI tools in technical work

Preferred Requirements:

• Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, CompTIA Security+
• Experience with container orchestration and security (Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Docker)
• Experience with service mesh, network policies, micro-segmentation
• Background supporting regulated workloads in healthcare or financial services
• Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing coordination
• Knowledge of system performance monitoring, availability engineering, cost optimization
• Familiarity with compliance evidence collection and audit support
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar)
