SQL Developer / Developerka (PostgreSQL)

• Excellent knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL (PostgreSQL)
• Experience working with very large databases (billions of records, terabytes of data)
• Ability to optimize queries and long-running processing
• Experience analyzing query execution plans and diagnosing bottlenecks
• Experience with stored procedures
• Proficiency in Python for business logic development
• Ability to analyze data and problems from various sources
• Knowledge of system log analysis and using extensions such as pg_stat_statements
• Knowledge of data partitioning, especially by date
• Experience working at L2 level supporting production environments
• Fluent English at B2/C1 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, and dbt
• Knowledge of cloud database specifics on AWS and Azure

• Work with large databases using SQL and PL/pgSQL (PostgreSQL), handling structures with billions of records and terabytes of data
• Optimize queries and long-running processes
• Analyze query execution plans and identify bottlenecks
• Work with stored procedures effectively
• Maintain and develop business logic using Python
• Analyze data and issues from various sources
• Analyze system logs and use extensions like pg_stat_statements to identify blocking and bottleneck processes
• Manage data partitioning, especially by dates, to optimize large table searches
• Provide L2 support to solve problems and maintain production processes
• Co-create a critical banking application responsible for revenues management and stock reconciliation
• Manage advanced PostgreSQL engine mechanisms including MVCC (Xmin/Xmax), Vacuum processes, and advanced indexes like BRIN
• Develop competencies related to DWH, data integration, and database solutions
