Staff Architect (Senior Solution Architect)

Their clients include Fortune 500 firms and startups, with four clients generating over $4B in annual revenue each. The PitchBook platform is a key project, providing investment professionals access to financial data and analytical tools.

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong core engineering principles
• 3+ years designing complex software architectures for multi-stack environments (e.g., Java, C#, Python microservices, data analytical systems, AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills capable of articulating technical vision to diverse audiences
• Disciplined architectural decision-making evaluating trade-offs, risks, and technology pros/cons
• Proven stakeholder management and alignment building skills
• Practical experience designing data solutions across relational databases, distributed caching, replication, and enterprise search engines (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Experience architecting on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior experience in pre-sales, technical discovery, or solution consulting is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience driving AI enablement initiatives and architecting agentic AI systems (e.g., multi-agent frameworks, LLM orchestration) is a strong plus
• Language: English — Upper Intermediate or higher; Ukrainian — fluent

• Translate high-level business initiatives into architectural vision and technical standards
• Devise technology and architecture solutions addressing portability, usability, maintainability, scalability, security, and other "-ilities"
• Author AI-ready solution specifications and participate in AI-enabled workflows
• Drive system evolution toward well-defined target and transition states using system diagrams
• Adapt technical communication for technical and non-technical audiences
• Drive system innovation leveraging AI, prototyping high-impact capabilities
• Constantly learn new cloud managed services, libraries, frameworks, and platforms
• Propose balanced technical decisions such as build vs. buy and refactor vs. rebuild
• Provide and oversee high-level estimates for scoping non-trivial features
• Coach engineering teams to enable autonomous high-quality software design decisions
