Software Security Backend Engineer

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role involves joining a client's team working on a next-generation Software Security platform at a global financial institution, focused on cybersecurity with open-source, cloud-native security services built and operated at enterprise scale.

• Deep expertise in Python (Django) and/or Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS) with production-grade service delivery experience
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Ability to design scalable, secure backend systems with components in Go
• Experience with architecting GKE, optimising PostgreSQL for high-concurrency, and building event-driven systems (Pub/Sub)
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect with a security-first mindset and experience with Zero Trust models
• Broad full-stack understanding with deep backend expertise (T-shaped engineer)
• Passion for automation, engineering excellence, and continuous delivery

• Own the full lifecycle of services on GCP ensuring resilience, observability, and cost efficiency
• Design and manage OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows with a Zero Trust security model
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and prioritize automation
• Mentor team members, build engineering communities, and challenge existing approaches
• Stay updated on industry trends including Go, Rust, and TypeScript
