DevOps & Cloud Engineer (Talent pool)

Lago is a company operating in the Technology, SaaS, and Engineering industry, offering a vetted talent network connecting professionals with global companies.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for team calls.
• Availability to work US time zones.
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor.

Nice to have:

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional, or Azure Administrator.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Knowledge of GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with database management and scaling in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Experience in a high-availability, high-traffic production environment.

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or AKS).
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance; lead incident response and post-mortem processes.
• Manage cloud cost optimization and enforce infrastructure best practices.
• Implement and maintain security controls including IAM, secrets management, and network security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience, tooling, and deployment workflows.
• Manage environment configuration, secrets management, and environment parity.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks.
