GCP DevSecOps Engineer

This role involves shaping the cloud security posture of a global financial institution's Google Cloud Platform estate, delivering enterprise-scale cloud security and compliance solutions with AI-supported automation.

• Solid experience building and managing services in Google Cloud Platform
• Expert-level understanding of Cloud Security and GCP-specific security best practices
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and SRE principles; hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong CI/CD experience including Cloud Build, Flux CD, and Helm
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language: Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with security and compliance tools including IAM, cloud compliance, auditing, and monitoring tools
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
• Solid understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance processes

Nice to have:

• Hands-on expertise with GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Build, or Cloud Run
• Track record of proactively identifying and implementing process improvements
• Experience working in highly regulated financial services or enterprise environments

• Build, deploy, and manage GCP foundation platform applications using Google Cloud products such as BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Build, and Cloud Run with Python as the primary programming language
• Engineer solutions on the GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Config Connector
• Implement preventive security solutions centrally to improve overall cloud security posture
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided cloud services covering IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, and containers
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined Cloud Security Standards and Operational Risk standards including network, firewall, OS, logging, monitoring, availability, and resiliency
• Build and support CI/CD/CT pipelines and activities
• Ensure good change management practices in line with central standards
• Maintain support and operational documentation
