Software Engineer II

EBS Sp. z o.o., a growing Polish technology company focused on smart security solutions, is part of the American corporation Alarm.com. This role is part of a new team based in Krakow, Poland.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Two or more years of professional software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills with proficiency in C# preferred.
• Experience with database design, SQL, and backend development.
• Experience in the IoT and/or home automation field is a plus.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• A curious mindset with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software for various platforms and technologies.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to address complex technical challenges.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate across teams to define solutions balancing business and technical needs.
• Manage trade-offs between speed of delivery and long-term software stability.
• Contribute ideas and insights beyond mere implementation of specifications.
